ultra 4 有止滑劑 重車或擋車比較適用

這位弟兄,你說的VSX沒有止滑劑是真的嗎?還是VSX有分速克達專用的?
我現在也用ULTRA 10W40,還不錯用
但是一直在找這種沒有止滑劑,可以給速克達跟乾式離合器車種用的
之前用過TRUST 的車用機油,起中速還好,可能是因為它比我一般加的機油濃稠很多
但是中高轉速就是這麼滑順好拉
如果VSX沒有止滑劑的話,倒是一個不錯的選擇

GROUP V ESTER

group V is popular in performance and racing conditions. where maximum power and fast rpm is desired. the draw back with ester based is longivity and durability. before each race the oil is changed. cost is not a factor.

street engines can use a engine oil for 6 months or more. unlike a race that only lasts one day and race engines are frequently rebuilt or changed each race season.

GROUP IV PAO.

group IV PAO has always been know to be more durable.

the best motor oil for longivity is to have majority PAO and mix some ester in then have the proper additive package to bring this all together.

100% PAO is not good for your oil seals

as a example:
1998 & 2004 yamaha R1
ride everyday to work and race on weekend. 2400km every month.

very good performance and smooth operation. after 30 days of use in the R1 i noticed the gear change is more difficult for 2nd gear. after 60 days i can start to feel the engine performance change. 90 days i changed the oil and it was very dark color.   

AMSOIL 10w-40 MCF

6 month........gear change is still the same from the day i changed the motor oil. engine performance is still the same and smooth. color is medium brown on the 98 R1 (race carburator no air filter) and light to medium color on the 2004 R1.

riding my motorcycle on the street and race on weekend both motor oil has the same performance and i could not tell the difference. maybe on the dynojet u can see a slight difference??? clearly after 30 days the ester lose it's performance and starts to degrade

and the PAO is cheaper then ester 084.gif

所以 AMSOIL 只敢打 300V , 不敢打美國另外個品牌...

when people talk about base oil such as Group III, Group IV, Group V people don't mention about the other important part (additives).

like hot pot or soup. the soup base is important. but will you just drink the soup base and be satisfied? no, you need to add other food items to make it a great meal.

in engine oil people normally look at the TBN ( Total Base Number ) to tell you how well is the additive package. the higher the number the longer your engine oil can last. when your TBN drop too low is when the engine oil will start to degrade.  

I suggest you can go to BITOG and have a look at the UOA/VOA of the redline 5W40 , the additive package is very robust, perfect for road users.

They dont make racing oils for nothing!

Redline makes good products also. Just make sure you choose the right one. They have racing oil and street oil.

Race oil has more ZDDP and less detergents and a lower TBN. As usual race oil are changed after each race.

Since this is a scooter forum and scooters are short drain intervals. i doubt this would matter (plus scooters don't have complicated emmisions like a car). if it's for your car just look for API SM on there bottles.

too bad i did not have a chance to try redline products. i probably will in the future.

back on topic, i would choose redline over shell.

ever seen an oil change that spans 3-6 months?  

IF your R1 is a Yamaha litre bike, i still dont suggest redline, it might fuggle up the clutch as the cheap 340NT redline 5W40 isnt really a JASO MA oil.  If it doesnt , you've found a good oil.

Do go ahead if your R1 is a 125/150 CC SYM product!
