Yamaha India to Focus More on 150cc+ Products. Might Launch the YZF R25
After about a thousand rumours and a million prayers, official word from Yamaha has finally
emerged that the manufacturer intends to shift its focus on soon launching 150cc+ products
in Indian bike market. It may be noted that the Japanese bike maker made a comeback
in Indian bike market with the launch of R15, which is argua⋯⋯
bly the most popular Indian bike among Indian biking enthusiasts.
The Yamaha 250 will be a liquid cooled single, just like its R15 sibling, primarily to avoid
the higher costs of a twin. The design of the new bike will be sportier too, with a more
aggressive front, new alloys and a racy split seat. The swing-arm on the new bike will
be new and stronger as well, which apparently has been derived from the R125.
Rumours are doing rounds that the new bike will be named YZF R25.
