We were wheel-to-wheel throughout the 26 laps, and those are the races that get the fans most excited...In his official blog for boxrepsol.com Marc Marquez reflects on the Dutch GP:
Hey friends,
Assen was something! It was a very complete weekend, but overall, I think it was very nice and spectacular for the fans.
For me, it was important at this GP to be able to feel comfortable during all the practice sessions and to work well with the new chassis. And that’s how it was.
The team worked very hard always, setting their minds on having the best set-up for the race on Saturday. I’m very thankful and grateful to all of them because I felt great on the bike.
On Friday, we were really close to taking the pole position. What a shame! The truth is that Valentino deserved it as he gave a solid performance throughout the weekend.
During the race, I had a good start and a good pace, so Valentino and I were able to separate ourselves from the group.
We were wheel-to-wheel throughout the 26 laps, and those are the races that get the fans most excited, so I look forward to giving them more of that.
It was the last time that a race on Saturday was going to take place in Assen and thanks to the exciting memory of this race I will never forget.
In any case, the most important thing is that the vibe was great during the three days. We returned to the podium to fight for the victory, and that was our goal from the beginning.
Tomorrow we’re filming again, we are pretty good actors by now! We will be filming with our Honda team mates which is always an honor, and I’m sure that we’ll have a good time in front of the camera.

Hey Yanira, I see two dominating riders, Zarco and Kent, but in each category there are other riders that can make things very difficult.
In Moto3, there are a lot that are always ahead fighting to take the victory such as Quartararo, Navarro, Bastianini, Oliveira, etc. In Moto 2, there’s Tito and Lowes that are going to put up a good fight.
Also, I’m really proud of what my brother Alex is doing as each day that passes by he’s closer to the top riders.
In the end, in all the categories you have to always be very focused because if you get two zeros, you lose the advantage you had in the first seven races. The World Championship is very demanding!
